An audiologist is a professional who has a masters or doctoral degree in audiology. Audiology is the science of hearing. Audiologists are clinically and academically trained to determine those that do need medical referral, although the vast majority of hearing problems do not require medical or surgical intervention. Audiologist must be licensed by their state (in 47 states) to practice audiology.
Audiologists work in a variety of settings including hearing clinics, hospitals, schools, universities, rehab facilities, and medical centers. Some audiologists specialize in balance and inner ear disorders. Some work with speech pathologists as a team approach to rehabilitate patients whom have received the cochlear implant.
Our audiologists at Audio Recovery specialize in the evaluation and fitting of hearing aids. Our only desire is to provide the best available solutions for our patients’ hearing loss.
We have two audiologists with Doctor of Audiology degree and three with Masters. We also have an audiologist who specializes in the fitting of the BAHA, a prosthetic device for those with conductive hearing impairment.
Shouldn't you trust your hearing to the best-trained medical professionals?
